ABOUT US

Polyphony is an award winning community choir for residents of Sydney’s Inner West & City of Sydney.

Formed over a decade ago, Polyphony has been directed by some of Australia's leading contemporary classical musicians (Jack Collwell, Sally Whitwell,

Dan Walker & Corin Bone).

Not limiting itself by genre, Polyphony explores a

range of modern and traditional work, whether it be

a 19th-century song cycle or a Radiohead classic. Polyphony aims to explore through performance a wide range of repertoire (David Bowie, Björk, Kate Bush,
Saint-Saëns, Powderfinger, Daft Punk... to name a few!)  keeping its members – and its audience! – on their toes.

We take pride in singing a range of material that

is often not sung by other community groups.

Most of our members have joined in the last 3-5 years, with the average age of our members being 30-40.

But we encourage all ages and backgrounds

to join our ranks!

We are, at heart, a community choir who meet

& perform for the love of singing. We welcome fun,

open minded members with a similar passion for song.

Come join us!
